These days, the Director of the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov, Professor S.I. Ismailov, is on a working visit to the Qashqadarya region. The first days of the visit took place in the Shahrisabz, Kitob, and Yakkabog districts, where meetings were organized with local residents, community activists, and representatives of the local healthcare system.

The format of the visit goes beyond office meetings. The Director personally visits neighborhoods and communicates directly with residents, discussing the health issues that concern them and disease prevention. During the meetings, special attention is paid to healthy eating habits, reducing risk factors, the importance of daily physical activity, and each person’s responsibility for their own health. S.I. Ismailov explained in detail that positive changes in everyday lifestyle play an important role in preventing severe surgical conditions and cardiovascular diseases.

The visit is not only educational but also practical in nature. The head of the Republican Surgery Center is getting acquainted with the conditions of medical care in remote areas, analyzing the work of surgical services, and discussing with doctors the availability of specialized care and the proper referral of patients. This approach makes it possible to directly, objectively, and systematically assess the situation on the ground.

Such visits are conducted on a regular basis. For the Center’s leadership, strengthening ties with the regions—rather than limiting efforts to the capital—supporting district specialists, and improving the quality of medical care across the entire country are top priorities.

The working program is ongoing: on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the Director will visit other districts of the Qashqadarya region and hold further meetings with residents and healthcare workers.
