On January 20, within the framework of the forum, an official meeting was held between the delegation led by Minister of Health A. Khudayarov and the leadership of the French Academy of Surgery (Académie Nationale de Chirurgie).

The delegation was received by the President of the Academy, Dr. Hubert Joanet. During the meeting, issues related to the development of surgery, the establishment of clinical, practical, theoretical, and scientific cooperation, as well as the organization of joint articles, lectures, and master classes were discussed.

As a result of the meeting, a memorandum on the development of surgery and cooperation was signed between the French Academy of Surgery, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov.

One of the most important outcomes of the meeting was an agreement to organize a special training course in senology at the European School of Mammology in the city of Strasbourg.

At the initial stage, five surgeons from Uzbekistan will take part in this course. The training will last two weeks, after which an examination will be held. Specialists who successfully pass the exam will receive the qualification of surgeon-mammologist in accordance with European standards.
