The ancient and legendary city of Khiva is hosting the 30th Republic Scientific and Practical Conference "Vakhidov Readings – 2026". Organized by the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov, the conference brings together officials from the Ministry of Health, as well as leading surgeons, prominent scientists, experts, and healthcare specialists from Uzbekistan and several foreign countries.

The event focuses on issues related to early disease detection, timely referral of patients to specialized centers, expanding access to high-tech medical care, and increasing the effectiveness of postoperative rehabilitation.

The conference program includes discussions on the latest advancements in robotic and minimally invasive surgery, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, organ transplantation, anesthesiology, and intensive care.

Special emphasis is placed on the integration of artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and telemedicine capabilities into surgical practice.

During the forum, domestic specialists will present their clinical experience based on the first 50 robotic-assisted surgeries performed on lung and thoracic organs.

Visiting experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, and other countries will also share their practical expertise in advanced surgical techniques.

Within the framework of the conference, scientific research on liver and kidney transplantation, surgical treatment of cardiovascular diseases, and the prevention of complications following complex surgical procedures will be thoroughly examined.
